Our 8th Annual Taste for Education Dinner and Auction was held Thursday, April 12, 2018

Thank you to everyone who made our 8th Annual Taste for Education a success at Zuccaro Banquet & Catering. The evening began with tasting stations from 30 different restaurants including Blackfinn Ameripub, Grey Ghost Detroit, Juan Miguel's, M's Table & Bar, Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill, Testa Barra Kitchen & Cocktails and so many more. Caterers from A Movable Feast, Capital Banquet Center, Chef Raymone Catering, Italian American Cultural Center, MacRay Banquets & Events and Zuccaro Banquets & Catering. Market fresh items from Nino Salvaggio's International Marketplace and Vince & Joe's Gourmet Market.

Jennifer Ann Wilson, WXYZ reporter and Chippewa Valley High School Alumna, added excitement to the evening as our special guest emcee.

We offered amazing prizes this year including our Grand Prize raffle, an expense paid two night stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. We had autographed photos of 1968 World Series Detroit Tiger Mickey Lolich, Detroit Tiger tickets, spa packages, Disney Hopper passes, an American Girl doll, beautiful fine jewelry pieces and many more exclusive prizes. We also had some fun auction items like a kickball game with County Executive Mark Hackel and a dinner and ride on the fire truck with the Clinton Township Fire Department. We had various certificates for activities throughout Michigan that adults as well as children would enjoy that included delicious restaurant certificates to go with them.

This year we raised over $30,000, and the proceeds from this event will fund our Teacher Mini-grant Program that provides unique and exciting learning experiences for the students at Chippewa Valley Schools.  Thank you to all who made our evening a great success!
