November "Decisions on Demand" events for students
In lieu of an onsite admission event at your school, we are hosting virtual Decisions on Demand events in November. Students who apply and have official transcripts sent can receive their admission decision during a short virtual appointment.
November Decisions on Demand
Saturday, Nov. 14
Tuesday, Nov. 17
Monday, Nov. 30
Students who register for a five-minute appointment will submit an application for admission and ask you to submit their official transcript through Parchment or by email at least three days before their appointment.
That's it! Receiving your student's application and transcript will allow us to provide their admission decision live to them online.
App fee waivers: Because Free Application Month has been extended through November, students should select "Pay Later" on CMU's application or use the code "FireUp2021" if applying through the Common App.
Merit scholarship priority consideration deadline: Students completing applications by December 1 are guaranteed consideration for automatic merit scholarships. After December 1, merit awards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as funds are available.
Test optional: Students can be admitted and earn a merit scholarship even if applying without a test score. We highly encourage students to apply as test-optional in order to complete their application before the application fee waiver and merit scholarship priority consideration periods end.
