Announcements – April 9, 2026

 Seniors: We will be drawing more names for $25 Gift Card for those seniors who have completed the FAFSA. We will start drawing names on April 13th so you still have time to get your FAFSA completed and have your name entered for the drawing. If you would like help with your FAFSA please come to the Counseling Office on Tuesdays or Thursdays and Dr. Spurr will be happy to help you get it done. 

Did you know there are well-paying jobs in the boating industry in Michigan?  These boating industry careers  include technicians, electricians, HVAC, fiberglass repair, marketing, sales, finance, and more. We are going to have a speaker from the Michigan Boating Industry Association come on Wed. April 22nd during lunches in the community room. Jet's Pizza will be provided to those who sign up in advance. Sign up using the link posted in the School Counseling Course on Schoology.

 Attention juniors- please check your school email on a regular basis.  Important information regarding the upcoming SAT is being sent to your emails.  This will not only include study and prep information but also information regarding the schedule for the testing week and your upcoming room assignments. 

Prom tickets are now on sale until Friday, April 17th. See Mrs. Rucinski or Mrs. Mattia with questions. See the attachment for more information. 

There will be CTC meetings TODAY during lunch hours in the media center. Bring your lunch.

Today's college/career visit is the U.S. Air Force. Stop by their table at lunch.

  All CVHS students are welcome to stop by the table in the cafeteria during lunch TODAY that is co-sponsored by Coalition Teen Council and Turning Point of Macomb, which is an agency that helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. April is sexual assault awareness month. Stop by the table to learn something and get a small prize. CTC members will have lunch meetings TOMORROW, April 9th, during lunch hours in the media center. 

Today's college visit is the Savannah College of Art and Design. Stop by their table at lunch. 

Announcements – April 7 , 2026 

Our Math team won the Spark Third Place Award out of 770 papers submitted in this year’s MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge (National Math Modeling Competition). Congratulations to Maksim Pirkola, Jenna Kyker, Elaina Friedmann, Majd Aewas, and Daniel Gjoke. SPARK Awards are for teams that develop Solutions with Passion, Resourcefulness, and Knowledge, and recognize teams that demonstrate excellence and creativity in solving the Challenge problem.

There will be a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting on Wednesday at 6:30am in Room 227.
