Our vision is that children leave school with a complement of basic skills - linguistic, mathematical, scientific, artistic, physical, social, and technological - along with strong self-esteem and high personal expectations.

The mission of the Huron Community is to provide a nurturing environment in which children are given quality instruction, varied experiences, and ongoing support to become lifelong learners.

Belief Statement

We believe that in an effective school:

• There is a sense of community where staff, parents and students work together
• All children can learn
• Students need to be responsible and independent learners who are accountable for their own actions
• Productive learning occurs when respect is shown for people, property, and the environment
• Complete curriculum includes academics, music, art, hands-on science, and physical education

• All children need a safe, clean learning environment with up-to-date resources.
